ABOUT THE HICKS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS
Provided by David and Ann Hicks, the Hicks Scholarship pays up to the full cost of attending the University of North Florida, including tuition, fees, books, room and board (for four (4) years if a student remains academically eligible).
Students who currently or previously resided in Jacksonville Housing Authority, Section 8, or HabiJax properties are eligible to apply for the Hicks Scholarship. Recipients of the Hicks Scholarship are chosen by the University of North Florida based on financial need (as determined by the FAFSA), and their admission to the university. Any federal funds for which a scholar may be eligible are deducted from the amount of the scholarship awarded.
The Hicks Scholarship operates via an endowment at the University of North Florida therefore, there are a limited number of scholarships available each year and the funding is limited to the University of North Florida. Please remember failure to meet expectations will limit your opportunity to earn the scholarship.
